More Than 1.4 Million Learn About Healthy Smiles!

Our donors broke records again in 2025! 1,082,150 kids and caregivers learned about healthy smiles through our oral health education programs and campaigns—an all-time high.

Combined with the educational impact of our Dental Resource Program, that tally reached 1,467,741 children and their caregivers who learned how to prevent tooth decay thanks to our dedicated partners and volunteers. That’s a lot of lives empowered with the knowledge and tools to grow up with healthy smiles!

Kerri Dittrich of Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department in Norfolk, NE taught more than 2,000 kids how to have healthy smiles for a lifetime using educational resources provided by America's ToothFairy and generous sponsors.

A Record-Breaking Year of Learning

This fiscal year,* an estimated 744,350 people were educated using our downloadable resources—more than any year in our history! Since 2020, more than 2.87 million children and caregivers have been reached with engaging, accessible educational materials that make dental health understandable and fun. These materials are available for free thanks to Align Technology, our HERO Program title sponsor. (You can find these free materials on our Resources Page.)

“We absolutely loved the children’s books we received! They help us educate kids in a fun, accessible way and are great tools for engaging families.”

Smile Guardian Kits

Thanks to support from partners like MGE Management Experts, the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics, Cranberry, Delta Dental, Solventum, and others, we distributed 41,250 Smile Guardian kits. These kits help children learn about oral hygiene and empower caregivers to take action for their families’ health. In addition to that, 30,500 kids can learn about oral health every year with the number of ToothFairy 101 kits distributed during FY25.

Throughout FY25, donors helped us provide education and care where it’s needed most:

Campaigns That Spark Change

My Smile Matters (October 2024)

Held during Dental Hygiene Month and sponsored by Darby Dental Supply, this campaign reached an estimated 106,797 children and caregivers across 45 states, the UK, and Canada. With promotional support from RDH Magazine, this year’s campaign saw the highest-ever level of social media engagement. To receive reminders about My Smile Matters 2025, visit MySmileMatters.org.

Share Your Smile (June 2025)

Our third annual Share Your Smile campaign reached an estimated 189,751 people across 44 states, the UK, Canada, and India. Educators, dental professionals, and nonprofits used our free resources in clinics, classrooms, summer camps, libraries, and community events to teach families about oral health and the barriers many still face accessing care. Get more details here…

"Toothbrushes are the most valuable to the children and families we serve. Many do not have access to new hygiene products regularly, so this donation filled a critical gap. We saw so many smiles when the kits were handed out!"

–Colleen Sullivan, Bartholomew County Health Department, (Columbus, IN)

Smile Drive 2025: Bringing Hygiene and Hope

This year’s Smile Drive rallied 399 volunteers across 17 states to collect and donate 70,960 oral care items—essential supplies that many families simply can’t afford. With generous product donations from Keystone Dental, Boka, Crest and Walgreens, Toothbrush Toys, and SmileMakers, thousands of children in crisis received new toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and the confidence of a healthy smile.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

(Middle) July Jimenez of Cathedral City, CA visits an elementary classroom to deliver dental hygiene supplies and teach children how to properly brush their teeth. (Right) First grade students learn to graph the results from their Smile Drive as part of their math curriculum.
  • In Cathedral City, CA, volunteer July Jimenez used an Amazon wishlist to gather 2,300 items in just two days. She read to kindergarteners, taught them how to brush, and gave each child a hygiene kit—leaving with hugs and heartfelt thanks.
  • In Gilboa, NY, first-grade teacher Darcy Jaeger-Brand turned Smile Drive into a math and giving lesson. Her class collected over 1,100 items and donated them to local food pantries.
  • In Hickory, NC, Michelle Ivanenko made it her mission to make oral hygiene fun after seeing children turned away from a food drive without toothbrushes.

From Arizona to New York City, everyday people came together to show that small acts of kindness—like donating a toothbrush—can create lasting impact.

Saving Smiles Starts with You

Every kit sent, every volunteer mobilized, every campaign launched—none of it would be possible without the support of our generous donors. Thanks to them, underserved children received more than just toothbrushes and tip sheets—they received confidence, hope, and a reason to smile.
