2025 Share Your Smile Campaign Reaches Nearly 190,000

During Oral Health Month in June 2025, America’s ToothFairy once again ignited a nationwide movement for oral health equity through the third annual Share Your Smile campaign. By expanding access to oral health education through schools, clinics, and community programs, we help children build healthy habits and reduce barriers to preventive care.

With support from Sun Life Dental and DentaQuest, the campaign offered free, downloadable resources to help providers and educators teach families about the importance of healthy smiles—and the barriers that still prevent millions from accessing dental care.

How did Share Your Smile help children and families?

Thanks to the dedication of 306 oral health advocates, this year’s campaign reached an estimated 189,751 children and caregivers with engaging, evidence-based oral health education. Advocates used the resources in classrooms, clinics, public libraries, summer programs, and outreach events across 44 states and several countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and India.

Through Share Your Smile, America’s ToothFairy helped children and caregivers access oral health education that supports healthy habits and helps prevent tooth decay.

Wide-Ranging Participation Across Sectors

Participation spanned a diverse range of sectors:

  • Schools and school nurses
  • Public health departments in states like Arkansas, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania
  • Health systems
  • Youth-serving nonprofits including Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Dental professionals and educators from colleges and clinics
  • Volunteers and individuals, many of whom used personal networks to spread awareness

In total, 409 organizations accessed the free Share Your Smile social media toolkit, multiplying the campaign’s reach by sharing educational content across social platforms. These included local dental offices, regional nonprofits, health coalitions, and corporate partners—each contributing to a ripple effect of oral health advocacy.

Share Your Smile equips educators and community partners with the tools they need to teach children healthy habits and expand access to preventive care.

Beyond a Campaign—A Movement

By equipping educators, health advocates, and community partners with free oral health resources, America’s ToothFairy and our donors help children build healthy habits early and expand access to prevention where it is needed most.

Since its launch in 2023, the Share Your Smile campaign has:

  • Reached nearly 400,000 children and caregivers
  • Provided tools for advocates in 11 countries
  • Inspired youth to consider careers in dentistry through educational materials
  • Highlighted the critical link between oral health and overall health

“Every child deserves a healthy smile,” said Jill Malmgren, Executive Director of America’s ToothFairy. “This campaign empowers educators, health advocates, and parents with tools to break the cycle of poor oral health—especially in communities where care is hard to access.”
