Tooth decay is an inconvenience for most families. But for many children, treatment is out of reach. They live each day in pain. They miss school. They can’t sleep. Even eating hurts. They lose teeth and risk dangerous infections that can be deadly.

We believe every child deserves a healthy smile.

As a resource provider, we increase access to oral health care by supporting nonprofit clinics and community partners delivering education, prevention and treatment services for underserved children.

We teach families why oral health is important and how to take care of their mouths.

We provide funding so low-income families can access dental care.

We supply basic oral hygiene products for daily care.

Share Your Smile Campaign Shines a Light on Oral Health Disparity

We celebrated Oral Health Month in June with more than 200 oral health advocates who downloaded Share Your Smile Campaign materials to educate an estimated 105,000 children and caregivers about the importance of healthy smiles!

Smiles for Kids Grant Educates Rural Preschoolers in North Carolina

Low-income families living in rural areas often have difficulty accessing the dental health services that many of us take for granted. With more than half of the counties in our home state having fewer than 4 dentists per 10,000 people and 5 counties with no dental providers at all, it is very difficult for rural, low-income families in North Carolina to access routine dental care and education.

$1.2 Million Donation from SS White Helps Clinics Provide Care to More Kids

When Edward* brought his family to their local food pantry in Summit, New Jersey to pick up fresh produce, his children had more than hungry bellies. Sadly, his four-year-old daughter and two-year-old son had learned to live with dental pain. Everything changed for them that day when Edward learned that the one of our Dental Resource Program members, KinderSmile, would be visiting the food pantry to connect families with essential dental services.
