GC America Helps Clinics Restore Smiles.

For the nonprofit dental clinics like Kids’ Community Dental Clinic (KCDC,) in Burbank, CA, every penny counts. KCDC provides restorative and preventive dental services to kids who are often overlooked, including more than 3,000 kids last year alone.

“We serve a population who are excluded from receiving a specialist's care due to their coverage and lack of finances, but we do our best to serve them well,” Dale Gorman, KCDC’s Director told us. “America’s ToothFairy supports us in a way that we know we can offer immediate care that is needed instead of waiting for funding.”

"Product donations are a game changer for our clinic."

As members of our Dental Resource Program, KCDC can stretch their resources to serve more children. Through the program they receive donated dental supplies and equipment from top brands so they can provide outstanding care to their young patients in need.

This spring, KCDC was one of 12 clinics across seven states that received a generous donation of restorative products from GC America. Last year alone, these clinics provided restorative care to a combined 19,478 kids who would otherwise struggle to find the dental services they need to be infection and pain-free.

“We love this product!” Gorman added. “And it’s going to help us help more patients needing restorations.”

Worth nearly $70,000, the donation included Fuji IX GP Fast, Fuji IX GP Extra and Fuji II LC glass ionomer restoratives, plus EQUIA Forte Fil, a glass hybrid restorative.

The KinderSmile Foundation also received products from GC America at two of their locations in Bloomfield and Trenton, NJ. In the past 16 years, KinderSmile has provided more $10 million of in-kind dental services, impacting over 44,000 low-income children.

Support from America’s ToothFairy has enabled us to continue our mission and provide oral health education, preventive care, and comprehensive care to over 5,000 children this past year,” Dr. Michal Herman of KinderSmile said. “We truly appreciate your partnership. Your continued support helps us provide much needed access to oral health care in the state of New Jersey!”

Product donations like these are helping our organization reach amazing milestones–including $20,000,000 worth of donated dental products. But more importantly, the generosity of donors including GC America has helped our members provide restorative care to more than 800,000 kids in need since our founding in 2006.

“Product donations are a game changer for our clinic,” said Sophie Parson, executive director at Augusta Regional Dental Clinic in rural Fishersville, VA. Last year ARDC served more than 2,000 kids. Inflation has made it more difficult to provide care to their school-based dental patients, whose numbers have skyrocketed after COVID.

“We are so glad we joined the network two years ago and could not imagine our children’s programs and initiatives without America's ToothFairy!” Parson added. “Thank you for all you do and for helping us make a difference for the most vulnerable children in our community!”

The team at America’s ToothFairy extends our thanks to GC America, whose support makes it possible for our partners to serve more kids that might otherwise fall through the cracks. Thank you for helping to make our work possible!
